Brethren,
My apologies for getting this quarter's trestle board out late. We had a good start to 2008. We had two E.A.s and, along with our E.A. from November, we will pass three Fellow Crafts on April 3rd. My hope is for one or two more candidates this year.
We again will be participating in the Portland Town-wide Tag Sale in mid-May and I urge you brothers to look into your attics, garages, basements, shops and sheds, for items for our sale. It's a popular stop on the list of many, but if our quality and quantity of items goes down, we may have to rethink our participation in this project, which really is a lot of fun. Please contact any of the lodge officers if you have items to be picked up.
We are in the early planning stages of two fun events. one with another losge, a friendly competition and the other a Ladies Night. Details to follow.
The golf tournament is set for September 18th at Quarry Ridge. Please try to sell Tee Sponsors or Raffle Gifts. Try your employer, vendors, friends and brothers. This could become a very successful annual event and could allow us to make significant contributions to local charities, our scholarship or a pet project. If you play golf, try to get a group together or sign up and you will be paired up with another group.
The final degeree to be held this year will be a Master Mason degree on May 15th. The Awards Night, Scholarship Award and Strawberry Shortcake Social will be held on Jue 19th. Please try to attend.
Fraternally yours,
Br. James H. Landry, Worshipful Master
